    Résumé :
    After a brief and general overview of the issues related to the discovery, composition and mediation of web services for the effective and efficient realization of a global service-oriented architecture, we present the service-bank problem. The service-bank problem consists in finding the optimal combination of services (described by their input and output parameters) to obtain some output given some input. The problem is shown to be one of finding the shortest (forward) hyper-path in a hyper-graph. We outline the modeling of the problem and the approaches to solutions and approximate solutions to this problem.
